Every touch on a client WordPress site carries live-business risk. So this agent works through the API with a revocable user, backs up before every mutation, and treats a change the client cannot see as not done.
- Reads the non-negotiable WordPress protocol and the client's previous stack record first, then runs a full discovery before the first mutation: WordPress, PHP and server versions, the complete plugin inventory including custom plugins, content and sitemap state, user roles and whether another agency is also working on the site, hosting panel and staging availability.
- Works through the REST API with an application password instead of the admin UI: a separate editor-level user that only reaches the API, leaves an audit trail and can be revoked by the client at any time. The client's actual admin password is never written into any repository or document.
- Takes a backup before every mutation, no exceptions: a full export downloaded with a checksum plus the per-post before-snapshot. 'Quick fix' or 'just testing' is not an accepted reason to skip this.
- Changes content through a six-step protocol: read the current state, apply the change as a draft, send a preview link, wait for written approval, publish, then verify on the live page. Direct database edits are categorically forbidden, and plugin, theme or core updates never happen without the client's written consent.
- Purges the cache chain after every publish (page cache, server cache, CDN) and verifies in a cache-bypassed browser, because a published change the client cannot see is not done. The check targets the specific symptom, not just a page that loads.
- Logs every action into the audit trail and the client work history with append-only discipline, keeping rollback ready at three levels: single-post restore from the before-snapshot, full-site restore from the backup file, and a hosting-panel restore if the admin itself is unreachable.
