Pattern Promoter

Pattern promotion engine.

Pattern Promoter closes your team's learning loop by mining recurring successful patterns out of project memory and agent notes, classifying them, and promoting the proven ones into permanent skills, rules, conventions, or anti-pattern traps. Instead of re-solving the same problem every quarter, your hard-won lessons become enforced standards that load automatically. It turns scattered observations into institutional knowledge with an approval gate before anything ships.

A lesson learned three times is a rule waiting to be written. This engine scans memory for those repeats and promotes them into permanent system rules, with an approval gate in between.

  1. Scan the memory files (main memory plus every agent's memory) for recurring themes, counting how many times the same lesson or fix has been written down across entries.
  2. Classify each candidate by threshold: a rule needs 3+ repeats with an enforceable do/don't, a skill needs 5+ repeats with an 80%+ success rate, a failed pattern becomes a TRAP entry with a prevention recipe.
  3. Build a promotion request listing sources, frequency and success rate, and put it in front of the owner for approval; nothing gets institutionalized silently.
  4. On approval, write the pattern into its single canonical home: a trap registry entry, a rule file, a routing convention row or a new skill draft.
  5. Clean the sources: the scattered memory entries are replaced with one reference line, so the knowledge lives in exactly one place and cannot drift into conflicting copies.
  6. Schedule a regression check a month out to verify the promoted rule still earns its keep; stale patterns get flagged for deprecation.

Who it's for

This wasn't forged for everyone.

  • Not for you if you'd rather rent a tool than own one.
  • Not for you if you want someone else to run your stack.
  • Not for you if you're happy guessing.
Still here? Good.

Teams running multiple projects who want their repeated lessons to become enforced standards instead of forgotten tribal knowledge.

then this was forged for you.

Questions · still in the air

Catch what's on your mind.

the air is clear. nothing between you and the forge.
catch a spark: the forge will answer

  1. Does this require a particular memory or note-taking setup to mine from?

It works on whatever project memory and agent notes you already keep, the memory-scan workflow surfaces recurring themes by frequency rather than expecting a fixed format. The richer and more consistent your notes, the better the candidates it finds.

  2. How does it decide whether something becomes a rule, a skill, or just stays a note?

A classification taxonomy sorts candidates into rule, skill, convention, or trap, and frequency thresholds gate promotion: a fix seen about three times qualifies as a rule candidate, five times as a skill candidate. Failed experiments get classified as traps so they become guardrails instead of repeats.

  3. Will it institutionalize standards on its own?

No. Every promotion goes through an approval-request template before anything ships, and a promotion audit trail with regression-check dates records what was adopted and why. It proposes; you decide.

  4. How is it delivered?

By email right after purchase: ready to run, downloaded instantly, no setup wait.
